a pair of VINTAGE 1950s 13" ZILDJIAN SMALL STAMP HI HAT CYMBALS in GREAT CONDITION!
And these at least half century old hi hats
are
in GREAT condition, indeed, having an awesome amount of patina befriending this pair of cymbals and they weigh in at 598 grams (top) and 629 grams (bottom) which are extremely thin and makes for a crisp, defined sound and fast response as well as an intensified "chip" sound!
These hi hat cymbals have no cracks, chips or keyholing.
Check out the weights:
Top = 598 grams
Bottom = 692 grams
They are crisp when closed tight but have a great sloshy sound!
And being so thin, these have that vintage sound built in because they are vintage!  You can see and feel where the trade strike mark was hand hammered into the upper surface of each cymbal.  This is the old school American craftsmanship in the bronze alloy!
These are the hi hats which defined Zildjian and they mic up very well and are perfect for low to medium volume settings.  In fact, it was a joy playing these for the demo video!
No marketing spin of "reissue" or "vintage" here and most likely the closest you could get to these in sound from Zildjian would be to go out and lay down 9.95 plus taxes and maybe shipping for a pair of New Beat hi hats or spend even more for the supposedly "reissue" or "vintage" marketing ploy.  But why would you when you can get the real thing right here, right now!
